Alcohol consumption is well linked to a host of diseases and social misconducts. it is an established fact that alcohol play a major role in liver damage. However the above aforementioned effects of alcohol are just by the way side when compared with the host of diseases caused by alcohol.

 Below are some of the major effects associated with alcohol consumption:
1.Cancer 
Intake of alcohol is well linked to cancer development; most of the affect areas includes mouth, throat, esophagus, liver and breast. The chances even increase when combined with tobacco says researchers. 

2. Cardiovascular issues 
Alcohol increases the formation of blood clots in vessels thereby predisposing the individual to serious cardiovascular issues such as stroke.
The danger of alcohol intake also include a very deadly condition called cardiomyopathy, where heart muscle becomes extremely weak and  can lead to partial unconsciousness for a while and death could follow if treatment is not proffer on time

3.Anemia 
Alcohol considerably decreases the number of oxygen-carrying red blood cells, and this in turn leads to fatigue and lightheadedness. 

4. High blood pressure 
Alcohol can as well disrupt the normal function of the sympathetic nervous system in regulating when and how blood vessels should dilate or constrict as a way of maintaining blood pressure. with alcohol intake, blood pressure regulation can become compromised overtime which may therefore lead to chronic condition capable of causing other serious health issues.

5. Nerves damage 
 A specific nerve damage called neuropathy is well linked to alcohol intake. the condition is usually characterized by needle pain feelings or numbness in the extremities.  

6. Immune system issues. 
Alcohol can effectively compromise the immune system defense mechanisms thereby  paving way for infectious diseases to come in: such as tuberculosis, pneumonia and others.

7. Pancreatitis  
Intake of alcohol can inflame the pancreas thereby interfering with digestive functions leading to abdominal pain and frequent diarrhea.According to researchers, this condition is not fixable.

8. Liver Cirrhosis 
Alcohol have a serious detrimental effect on liver cells due to its toxic properties. this toxicity of alcohol on the liver can cause scary effect on the liver leading to a condition known as liver cirrhosis. this condition usually impair the normal functioning ability of the liver. women are more susceptible to liver cirrhosis for unknown reasons.

9. Gout 
Gout is a very pain condition due to uric acid crystals formation at the joints in the extremities. Although this condition can be genetic at times, alcohol can as well play a major role in the development of this condition and can as well worsen already existing gouty condition.

10. Depression  
Is a well known fact that alcohol is a potent depressant. Although some people may resort to alcohol when depressed at time; but this is a wrong action. alcohol causes more depressions, so avoid it when depressed.
